Fourth edition of the Essai sur la Déclamation Tragique (see) which contains four cantos, the first on tragedy, the second on comedy, the third on opera, the fourth on dancing. The poem is followed by Réponse à une Lettre écrite de Province au sujet du Poème de la Déclamation, published for the first time in 1767 with La Danse, chant quatrième du Poème de la Déclamation, précédé de Notions historiques sur la Danse, et suivie d'une Réponse à une Lettre écrite de Province (see).
