EDITION:
The original manuscript of Hamburgische Dramaturgie, published between 1767 and 1769 as a periodical publication associated with the repertoire of the Hamburg Nationaltheater, has not been preserved.
In the same period, we have the edition in two volumes: Leipzig, J. Dodsley und Compagnie [i.e. E.B. Schwickert], 1769.

- Lessings Werke, edited by Julius Petersen and Waldemar von Olshausen in collaboration with Karl Borinski, 25 vols., Berlin, Leipzig, Wien und Stuttgart, 1925-1929. The Hamburgische Dramaturgie is contained in volume 5. The collection includes an introduction and the annotations by the two editors and a complete index of Lessing's works. Reprint: Lessings Werke. Vollständige Ausgabe in fünfundzwanzig Teilen, Hildesheim, Olms, 1970.
